Think Tank? was established to provide a live music platform in Newcastle for local talent and emerging touring acts from outside the region. Initially, the brand was used for a pop-up venue in November 2013.

 

Eventually Think Tank? found a permanent home in Digital, Newcastle’s premier superclub.

 

To date, the venue has hosted many notable acts. Bands and artists such as Wolf Alice, The 1975, Sam Fender, Royal Blood and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have cut their teeth at the venue when first starting out.

 

Meanwhile established acts have also utilised the space to give rare, intimate performances like Ian Mcculloch, The Charlatans, Nerina Pallot and The Fall.

 

In 2018 Think Tank? expanded its offering by opening the doors of a smaller sister venue: Think Tank? Underground. The space, situated directly under the original venue is gaining a reputation for drawing up-and-coming artists from all over the world to the North East of England.

Fast-forward to 2023 and we're still proud to be showcasing some of the best talent in the music scene, for everyone from the moshers to the sit-back-and-sing-along-ers to enjoy.
